YU is the first non – state university in Vietnam’s Central Highlands. Academics, scientists, managers and investors, for our great educational cause, have enthusiastically contributed money and mind to the establishment of YU. The choice of the name Yersin for the university is made to honour a French scientist whose name and work are closely associated with Indochina and Vietnam: Dr Alexandre Jean Emile Yersin, the man who discovered Dalat, the city of flower festivals. As soon as YU was founded, it has defined its mission, vision and goals, which can be regarded as a decisive strategy in the establishment and development of the university. The formation of architects, economists, technologists and other liberal, social workers will fill the need for highly – qualified workforce in the process of social and economic development of Lamdong, the Central Highlands, Southern Central Vietnam and Eastern South Vietnam.
