You’ll receive your results on a Test Report Form 13 days after your test. On the form, you’ll find a breakdown of your test scores.
Your Test Report Form will show the IELTS scores you achieved on each part of the test – Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. It also contains your band score, which is the overall average of all your test results.
Remember, there are no ‘Pass’ or ‘Fail’ grades. Your test result indicates the level of your English language ability.
Remember to keep your Test Report Form safe – we cannot send a replacement. The form belongs to you and cannot be altered in any way. To ensure your security, it contains your photograph and has an inbuilt security system so that it cannot be copied.
For how long is my Test Report Form valid?
Your Test Report Form will be valid for a recommended period of two years.
Recognising organisations will not usually accept a Test Report Form that is more than two years old, unless you provide evidence that you have actively maintained or tried to improve your English since you first took the test.
Five copies free of charge
We’ll forward copies of your Test Report Form to five recognising organisations free of charge. You were asked to name these organisations when you booked your test.
The results will be sent electronically, so in some cases your chosen organisations will receive your results before you do.
