Sunday, 15 September 2024 | IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 | After a brief review of IELTS Academic Writing Task 1, we will look at some key points and strategies to help our students produce a clear and logical description of the data. The key areas we will focus on are how to get our students to analyse the question and develop their visual literacy so that they can produce an appropriate overview. We will then go on to look at how to identify, select and organise the data into a coherent response. |
Tuesday, 15 October 2024 | IELTS Speaking | The webinar will start with a discussion of the format of the test and the assessment criteria. After that, we will go through each of the 3 parts of the test looking at the challenges and suggesting some solutions. We will offer concrete activities that you can share with your students. |
Friday, 15 November 2024 | IELTS Writing Task 2 | After a quick review of IELTS Writing Task 2, we will look at the assessment criteria and discuss how we can use them with our students to best affect. Then will look at ways to help our students analyse the question, come up with ideas, and organise those ideas into a coherent essay. |
Sunday, 15 December 2024 | Academic Writing Task 1: Two-diagram questions | This webinar will start with a quick overview of IELTS Academic Writing Task 1 and then will look at the challenges of these types of question and the strategies to deal with them, namely, how and where to start, and how to organise the answer. |
Wednesday, 15 January 2025 | Top Tips for IELTS | We will begin by looking generally at some of the challenges our students face with the IELTS test. We will then work though classroom activities and tips for each module of the test. |
