Earlier this year we launched a competition for ten lucky IELTS test takers from six countries to win £3000 each to help turn their academic dreams into a reality - and now we can announce our winners.
The prizes have gone to a diverse group of undergraduate students from India, Pakistan, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Colombia and United Arab Emirates. They’ll be continuing their education at a variety of institutions from the University of Massachusetts in Boston, to Khalifa University in the UAE.
Surroundings contribute a lot to your confidence level. Giving IELTS with the British Council was a random decision, but the experience manifested that it is undoubtedly the best platform for English Language tests. I was so nervous on the exam day as my speaking test was due earlier than the remaining modules. But the staff cooperation made me relaxed & calm. They motivated all the candidates to talk & share creating a friendly environment hence warming-up our communicating capabilities. Moreover, every guideline was dictated loud & clear hence every step seemed lucid & there was no chaos. When I heard about the opportunity to get tuition support via IELTS prize. I was highly motivated to draft a statement connecting my educational background, masters plan & career aspirations. And by the grace of God, I got nominated as one of the candidates to receive the prize. I am immensely thankful to the Britsih Council for offering such a generous allowance. It will surely help me bear my educational expenses to study abroad & eventually will fulfill my goals. An IELTS Prize winner, Pakistan |
We hope the prizes awarded will help all of our winners to go further in their chosen academic field.
