How do I get my IELTS One Skill Retake results?

After completing your IELTS One Skill Retake test, you will receive a new Test Report Form (TRF) with your updated IELTS One Skill Retake score. It also includes the scores of your original test and an overall CEFR score.

This means you will have two separate Test Report Forms: 

  • the original Test Report Form (TRF) with your original scores
  • the new Test Report Form (TRF) containing the One Skill Retake score. 

You can then decide whether to use your new or old scores. Your results are valid for two years from the original test date, which you can find on your Test Report Forms.

Is IELTS One Skill Retake different from an Enquiry on Results (EOR)?

IELTS One Skill Retake and Enquiry on Results are used in different situations. Here is how they compare:

  • IELTS One Skill Retake is available for both the General and Academic versions of IELTS.
  • You can only take IELTS One Skill Retake if you did IELTS on computer and the test centre offers IELTS One Skill retake.
  • You can apply for One Skill Retake online through the Test Taker Portal.
  • You must submit an Enquiry on Results (EOR) request within six weeks of your test date.
  • It may take up to 21 days, depending on how many skills you have asked to be re-marked
  • Your score may stay the same or increase. There is a charge for having a section re-marked, but you will receive a full refund if your score increases for any test section. 
  • You can ask to have one or all sections re-marked; the fee is the same regardless. 
  • You can apply for an EOR online through the Test Taker Portal or at the test centre where you took IELTS.
