Thursday 5 May 2022 Reading: essential skills In this webinar we will look at ways of helping you find the answers to questions in the Reading Test more quickly by using good reading skills such as skimming and scanning. You will have the chance to practise these techniques, and to ask and answer questions.
Thursday 12 May 2022 Academic Writing Task 1: graphs and charts This interactive webinar introduces the format of Academic Writing Task 1 and shows the different ways the data is displayed. We will look at and practise analysing the question, writing the introduction with the all-important overview, selecting data and writing the body paragraph. The focus will be online graphs and bar charts.
Thursday 19 May 2022 Academic Reading: an overview This webinar starts with an overview of the Academic Reading Test format. This is followed by a brief look at some common problems you might experience in the Reading Test and introduces some key skills and key strategies that will help you develop the reading skills you need to develop for success. Practice will be provided across different reading test question types.
Thursday 26 May 2022 Writing Task 2: an overview This webinar introduces the format of Writing Task 2 and what the examiners are looking for in 2 key aspects of the marking criteria, Task Response and Coherence & Cohesion. You will have the opportunity to work through an essay structure by analysing model paragraphs and follow 7 key steps to help you write your own essay.

Thursday 2 June 2022 General Training Reading: an overview This webinar introduces the format of the General Training Reading Test, how it is marked and suggests some strategies for dealing with two question types: True/False/Not Given, and Matching Information. You will have plenty of opportunities to ask and answer questions during the webinar.
 Thursday 9 June 2022 The Speaking Test In this webinar we will start with an overview of the format of the Speaking Test. Then you will have the chance to practise some of the skills and strategies you need for each of the three parts of the test.
Thursday 16 June 2022 General Writing Task 1 This webinar introduces the format of the GT Writing Task 1 and then goes on to look at the different letter types you may need to write. We will also look at the organistion of these letters and the appropriate vocabulary needed.
Thursday 23 June 2022 Introduction to vocabulary for IELTS This webinar will give you the opportunity to work through three important areas of vocabulary for IELTS: collocation, word-building and lexical sets. Developing your vocabulary in these areas will especially help in the Writing and Speaking components of the IELTS test.
Thursday 30 June 2022 Reading task types: T/F/NG and multiple-choice After a brief re-cap of the format of the Reading Test, you will have the chance to work through the skills and strategies needed for these two question types. You will also have the opportunity to ask and answer questions.
Thursday 7 July 2022 Academic Writing Task 1: process diagrams and maps In this webinar we will briefly review the Writing Test Task 1 format and will then focus on describing process diagrams and maps/plans. You will be able to practise some of the techniques for this as well as ask and answer questions.
Thursday 14 July 2022 Writing Task 2: Coherence & Cohesion This webinar starts with a brief review of Writing Task 2. Then will we look in detail at some of the important aspects of Coherence & Cohesion, which is one of the four criteria by which your essay is assessed.
Thursday 21 July 2022 Reading task types: Matching Headings and Summary Completion In this interactive webinar, we will look at two question types from both the Academic and the General Training Reading Section of IELTS. You will have the opportunity to use skim reading skills in longer texts and practise a strategy for Matching Headings. We will then focus on an approach to Summary Completion and you will be able to do a full practice task with analysis of answers. 
Thursday 28 July 2022 Vocabulary: lexical sets for the Speaking Test This interactive webinar will give you hints and tips on how to develop the vocabulary appropriate for the IELTS Speaking Test. You will have plenty of chance to practise and to ask and answer questions.
