Thursday 7 September 2023 Reading Q types: matching headings & summary completion In this interactive webinar, we will look at two question types from both the Academic and the General Training Reading Section of IELTS. You will have the opportunity to use skim reading skills in longer texts and practise a strategy for Matching Headings. We will then focus on an approach to Summary Completion and you will be able to do a full practice task with analysis of answers.  
Thursday 14 September 2023 Speaking In this webinar we will start with an overview of the format of the Speaking Test. Then you will have the chance to practise some of the skills and strategies you need for each of the three parts of the test.
Thursday 21 September 2023 General Training Writing Task 1 This webinar introduces the format of General Training Writing Task 1 and then goes on to look at the different letter types you may need to write. We will also look at the organisation of these letters and the appropriate vocabulary needed.
Thursday 28 September 2023 Listening This webinar will start with a look at the Listening Test format and then will look at some strategies for answering the questions, such as predicting from context and predicting from language. We will also practise listening for and writing down letters and numbers, which are often included in Parts 1 and 2. We will also look at question types, and finish with some tips for the Listening Test.

Thursday 5 October 2023 IELTS Reading: Overview This webinar starts with an overview of the Reading Test format. This is followed by a brief look at some common problems you might experience in the Reading Test and introduces some key skills and key strategies that will help you develop the reading skills you need to develop for success. Practice will be provided across different question types.
Thursday 12 October 2023 Grammar for IELTS: Narrative tenses for Speaking In this webinar, we will be looking at Part 2 of the Speaking Test in some detail. You will have the chance to practise using the different narrative tenses that improve and develop the story-telling and descriptive aspects of your 2-minute talk.
Thursday 19 October 2023 Academic Writing Task 1: Processes & Maps In this webinar we will briefly review the Writing Test Task 1 format and will then focus on describing process diagrams and maps/plans. You will be able to practise some of the techniques for this as well as ask and answer questions.
Thursday 26 October 2023 Vocabulary for IELTS: Collocations & idiomatic language This webinar will look at useful areas of lexis for the IELTS test. Starting with collocation, we will then look at the difference between idioms, proverbs and idiomatic language. We will then practise using collocations and idiomatic language in different parts of the IELTS test.

Thursday 2 November 2023 Reading Question types: Completion questions This webinar focuses on strategies for answering table and flow chart completion questions. After a quick review of reading skills, there will be opportunities for participants to practise these question types.
Thursday 9 November 2023 Writing Task 2: Overview This webinar introduces the format of Writing Task 2 and what the examiners are looking for in 2 key aspects of the marking criteria, Task Response and Coherence & Cohesion. You will have the opportunity to work through an essay structure by analysing model paragraphs and follow 7 key steps to help you write your own essay.
Thursday 16 November 2023 Essential Reading Skills for IELTS In this webinar we will look at ways of helping you find the answers to questions in the Reading Test more quickly by using good reading skills such as skimming and scanning. You will have the chance to practise these techniques, and to ask and answer questions.
Thursday 23 November 2023 Writing Task 2: Coherence & Cohesion This webinar starts with a brief review of Writing Task 2. Then will we look in detail at some of the important aspects of Coherence & Cohesion, which is one of the four criteria by which your essay is assessed.
Thursday 30 November 2023 Academic Writing Task 1: Introduction and Graphs & Charts  This webinar introduces the format of Academic Writing Task 1 and shows the different ways the data is displayed. We will look at and practise analysing the question, writing the introduction with the all-important overview, selecting data and writing the body paragraph. The focus will be on line graphs and bar charts.

Thursday 7 December 2023 Writing Task 2: Problems & Solutions During this webinar you’ll practise identifying the different essay types that you might be asked to write in Writing Task 2. We will then focus on one type, essays that require you to write about problems and solutions. You’ll have the chance to work through the steps to prepare to write your own essay before looking at a full model answer. We’ll also look at the language of cause and effect which will be useful not only for this type of essay but for all sections of IELTS.
Thursday 14 December 2023 Lexical sets for Speaking This webinar will begin by looking at how we learn vocabulary. We will then focus on the use of learning and recording vocabulary in lexical sets as a way to develop Lexical Resource. We shall look at how this approach can help in the IELTS Speaking Test.
