With this test, you’re not restricted to a small number of fixed IELTS exam dates. Depending on local demand, you can choose from as many as 48 different test dates throughout the year. There are also more than 800 official IELTS test centres around the world so you can find one convenient to you.

If you live in Brazil, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Italy, Qatar, Spain, Turkey or Ukraine, you also have the option to take the test from home via IELTS online.

What happens if I need to change my IELTS exam date?
If you need to postpone or cancel your IELTS exam booking, we ask that you give us five weeks’ notice. You’ll then receive a refund (minus an administration charge).
If you have a medical certificate to confirm why you need to postpone or cancel, this notice period extends to five days before your scheduled IELTS exam date.

What if I miss my IELTS test due to circumstances beyond my control?
If you are delayed by circumstances beyond your control, the IELTS test centre may offer you a test on the next available test date.
